¿GUERRA FRÍA ENTRE ESTADOS UNIDOS Y CHINA?

Resumen
La analogía/metáfora de una ‘guerra fría’ ha sido utilizada para caracterizar la confrontación geopolítica en curso entre Estados Unidos y China. A pesar de algunas similitudes entre la actual pugna por la hegemonía -por ahora circunscrita al IndoPacífico- y la Guerra Fría que libraran Estados Unidos y la Unión Soviética, la profunda interdependencia comercial y financiera generada por la globalización determina que la escisión del mundo en dos bloques contrapuestos sea poco practicable y sumamente costosa. Los numerosos Estados que cuentan a China como su principal socio comercial ven un posible desacoplamiento como una amenaza para sus proyectos de desarrollo, sostenidos por el ambiente de globalización e integración que hoy prevalece. Chile, en particular, deberá navegar la turbulencia sistémica desplegando pragmatismo pero sin perder de vista los valores que nos definen y nuestra ubicación geográfica, cultural, histórica y política.
